Artist's Comments

I've been meaning to put this up a long time ago, but I've been sick, and today's the only day that I'm given something of a respite from the dizzy spells I've been having.

This is the original version of Simply a Fairy Tale . . . before it was hued and imposed onto aged parchment.

(This portion is copied and pasted--with a few corrections--from Simply a Fairy Tale . . . Or So They Say .)

This piece was made using an almost entirely different approach as compared to my other works. It has more colors, certainly. (However, it may look the same to you as my other submissions . . . I don't know.)

This was created well beyond a fortnight--not because I worked endlessly, but because I was forced to desist, due to a lack of inspiration, a lack of ideas, and a lack of proper material. When this was in the making, I always felt that it did not look right, so I altered it over and again. Finally, I was able to achieve a look that I wanted. Hopefully it looks as enchanting and as melancholy to you as it does to me.

I used about 10 stock photos, some of which may be found here, here, and here .

Fairy was removed because I originally made this piece without her.

Most brushes used were my own; however, I incorporated one from here.

Full view is, of course, recommended.

Why did no one comment on this lovely and serene piece yet?
I love the mood it emanates, it's a wonderfully crafted picture, and to be honest it can do very well without the faerie, it's able to speak for itself *s*

Sex is like math: Add the bed, subtract the clothes, divide the legs, and pray to god you don't multiply. :giggle:

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly

I got a new car radio the other day. It's completely voice controlled. You shout Metal and it plays Metal, you shout Rock and it plays Rock. The other day some kids ran past my car and i yelled "F***ING KIDS" and it played Michael Jackson.

Beautiful. Beyond words.
